Borisowich 48

Borisowich 48 – A soldier of the OUN – (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists)

I´m no soldier. I see myself as a revolutionary man, like Che Guevara. The national revolution started two years ago and I´ve been fighting since it started. Before the war I was a small town burglary (cab driver).

I´m grateful for the war because I found my new family here. They are my comrades, you need to understand that this is more than just friendship, it´s a friend you will do anything for.

I´m a nationalist, I love my country and the right wing politics. My heart is broken for my country so I am fighting under the revolutionary red and black flag. The red means blood and the black means the soil. The main thing is not to win the war, but it is something that’s needs to be done, we need to win so we can continue the political process and make this country beautiful. Everyone here fight for that reason.

We work for free, eat what we get from regular people and the volunteers. I have not earned 1€ since this started.

Here we don’t wear masks. We all do mistakes, this is normal and here we accept that. Here is 100% truth.

Our friend died at this position five days ago and during the last month five died and 15 got seriously wounded. Yesterday our commander was injured in one arm and both legs by a mortar shell, he will survive.

Our casualties are not a part of the battle statistics and our battalion is dry – that means we can’t drink any kind of alcohol when we are in service – if you do, you´ll leave and never come back.

I left my past and looking forward.
